A new collection of poetry for children from the General Book Authority's publications

Children’s literature is considered one of the easy and abstaining arts, as it addresses an important age group and at the same time needs an accurate method of speech that suits this category.

The “Let’s Sing” group by the poet Ibrahim Abbas Yassin, head of the Arab Union branch in Daraa, includes among its pages a chant with multiple titles and content between patriotism, nationalism and social and topics of qualifying children for school love and reverence for friendship. At the same time, it includes new vocabulary for children to enrich their vocabulary.

In a statement to SANA, Yassin explained that introducing the new vocabulary to the children's ears is to enrich their language and raise the level of their culture, noting that all the songs are accompanied by an explanation of the vocabulary that is being circulated for the first time, adding that he chose to have some Arab personalities who have an imprint in history have their presence in the group's songs in order to employ them In the right place, introducing the children to these characters and prompting them to ask about them and learn more about their history.

Yassin pointed out that some believe that writing for children is a simple task, but this type of literature is easy and impossible, as it requires creativity and accuracy in choosing vocabulary and topics that address children.

"Let's Sing" is the fourth collection of the poet Yassin's production dedicated to children, and it was accompanied by expressive drawings by artist Lina Naddaf, while his previous three poetry collections were titled "What did the rain say to the birds", "Songs for a childhood wedding" and "Patents".
