Ukrainian media reported this morning (Sunday) on the withdrawal of the Ukrainian army from the city of Lisichensk.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has released photos of Russian soldiers in the center of the last city held by Kyiv in the Luhansk region.
According to the American Institute for War Studies, it appears that the Ukrainian army carried out an organized retreat from the city's territory towards defense lines to the west and thus managed to avoid a Russian siege.
This is a significant achievement for the Russian army, which manages to advance despite stubborn Ukrainian fighting and heavy losses in the Donbass region.
In Kherson province however, the Russians recorded a series of defeats over the weekend when the Ukrainian army managed to liberate three villages from the Russians.
In addition, in a series of nocturnal attacks, three Russian ammunition depots were destroyed by the Ukrainian army, two of which were Russia's own question in the Kursk and Belgrade districts.
Ukraine has pledged to the United States not to use the long-range missiles it has delivered to attack Russia.
