This evening, the Ministry of Industry held an exhibition for fashion design and a graduation ceremony for the fashion designers course for the cadres of companies affiliated with the General Organization for Textile Industries.

Minister of Industry Ziad Sobhi Sabbagh indicated in a statement to reporters that the course comes within the ministry's programs for rehabilitation and training, which targeted the textile sector (Al Waseem and Al Sharq Lingerie Companies), where it was carried out using the latest means with the aim of rehabilitating companies to enter the labor market with greater strength and offer products with the best models and the cheapest prices that suit the tastes of all consumers.

For his part, the Director General of the General Organization for Textile Industries, Al-Harith Makhlouf, indicated in a statement to SANA that the course is the culmination of the joint efforts between the Foundation and the Youth Empowerment Center, indicating that the templates and costumes that were designed will be translated on the production lines.

The engineer, Maysam Muhammad Al-Ahmar, the trainer responsible for the course, pointed out that the training was conducted for ten trainees for a period of seven months and a hundred training hours for the design of molds and designs for cadres from Al Sharq Lingerie and Al Waseem Companies, in cooperation with the Youth Empowerment Center, which secured the training venue and the necessary materials, noting that the course led to a major change in Corporate designs and the latest qualitative leap, where the ready-made clothing line was modeled by computer and the introduction of digital transformation in the clothing industry.

Director of the General Company for Ready-to-Wear (Waseem) expresses Zureik that the company will benefit from the cadres that followed the course, especially in the designs of women’s and children’s clothing in order to move away from stereotypes and processions of modern models and benefit from the company’s fabrics in the production of modern clothes that keep pace with the market, indicating that the company’s spread in all governorates Through its halls, which will start production immediately from the models that were presented at the ceremony in small numbers to be tested in the market and produce the most acceptable to consumers.

For his part, the General Manager of Al Sharq General Company for Underwear, Engineer Majd Ahmed, stressed the importance of this course in developing the expertise of the company's design cadres and providing them with new technologies in the fashion world, enabling them to design new products that meet consumers' tastes and enhance the competitiveness of the company's products in the local and foreign markets.

The event was attended by the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Muhammad Samer Al-Khalil, the President of the Federation of Trade Unions Jamal Al-Qadri, the assistants of the Ministers of Industry and Education, the head of the Advisory Council in the Ministry of Industry, a number of central managers in the ministry and the General Organization for Textile Industries, managers of a number of companies and a crowd of invited businessmen.
