They were viewed with skepticism when they were founded, but now no one doubts how good the establishment of the Fischbacher Frauenkreis is.

At the first meeting after the Corona lockdowns, there was now a new appointment to the board.

Fischbach – The Fischbacher Frauenkreis wanted to celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2020, but Corona made sure that all anniversary plans and the regular new elections had to be put on hold for two years.

This year it worked with the annual meeting and elections, which resulted in significant personnel changes.

Margret Gerold no longer made herself available as chairwoman - Rosi Baumgartner, who had previously been vice-chairman, is now at the head of the women's association.

Regina Singer, in turn, has now taken over this post, giving up her previous position as deputy cashier.

The former assessor Stefanie Stadler was elected as the new deputy treasurer, Christiane Mayer remains chief financial administrator.

Secretary Carolin Fischer also announced her withdrawal from the board – she was succeeded by Barbara Baumgartner, with Barbara Haas remaining as deputy.

Kathrin Demmel was re-elected from the four members of the committee, the three vacant positions of Stefanie Stadler, Renate Hinterholzer and Astrid Breg - the latter two no longer stood as candidates - were replaced by Angelika Bocksberger,

Volunteering is no longer a matter of course these days

After these intensive changes and new appointments, the "rejuvenation" of the board of directors, which had already begun in the previous elections, has now been successfully completed, so to speak.

The well-attended group stated that one should be happy about this forward-looking development, because nowadays it is not a matter of course that young people take on voluntary tasks.

In general, the meeting was characterized by a review of the 30-year history of the unconventional association.

Initiated in 1990 by Maria Walser and Uschi Bauer and founded by 46 like-minded women, because previously there were hardly any opportunities for women to get together and do things together in the former community with widely scattered hamlets without a fixed town center, were the first ten years a time of development and gathering experience - quite critically eyed by some women of the same sex and the local male world.

"I quickly realized that you need a broad hump, because you can't please everyone," summarized Walser, who acted as chair from the beginning until 2010, after the end of the first decade.

Planning for future events

If Corona allows it, the popular hearty carnival seniors' afternoon and soon the guided home excursion and the annual family outing should take place again.

But because nothing works without money, women have always tried to generate income.

It began with an independent sales stand campaign in Marktstraße, followed by participation in the Tölz Christmas and Easter markets with home-baked goods as well as handicrafts and handicrafts.

In the meantime, the coffee and cake service during the "Rose Days" and the "Autumn Magic" is the main financial support.

Treasurer Christiane Mayer was also able to express the ongoing diligence in numbers: "In the period from 1990 to 2020, the women's group donated around 83,000 euros for social purposes, with a further 42,000 euros the association supported church and secular concerns on site," is her overall balance .

Most recently, a bench was purchased for visitors to the Fischbach cemetery and help was given to a Ukrainian refugee family housed here.

In the meantime, according to Second Mayor Martin Fischer in his welcoming address, the women's group in Fischbach is "an important and well-recognized institution" alongside the traditional local groups.
