Erlangen: "Image of horror" - the police discovered a completely neglected apartment
Cockroaches keep slipping out from under the apartment door, and it also smells very unpleasant.
The police patrol first tried to persuade the tenant (39) to open the apartment door by ringing and knocking.
But the door remained locked.
Since it could not be ruled out that the tenant was in a helpless state in the apartment, the Erlangen fire brigade was notified to open the apartment, the police continue to report: "The police officers saw a picture of horror in the apartment."

Garbage, rubbish and cockroaches: Erlangen apartment in a desolate condition - no sign of the tenant
"Trash and rubbish piled up in the entire apartment at a height of 1.50 meters and it smelled bad," the press release continues.
To rule out that the tenant was lying under the mountains of rubbish, shovels were used to dig for him.
The 39-year-old was not found.
It was not possible to clarify whether he was still in the apartment regularly or whether he had given it up.
