This year's Taufkirchen folk festival will open with an extraordinary event.

Taufkirchen – Next Thursday, July 7th, one day before the official start, the 5th Eva Luginger Schlager Night will take place in the Jell family's festival hall.

Start is at 8 p.m., admission from 6 p.m.

In addition to the hostess, Andy Borg, Nicki, Sunrise, Ricky Reason and the show dance group New Dimension will also perform.

Ms. Luginger, it's your fifth hit night.

It took place four times in your home town of Velden, now in Taufkirchen.

Why?

I'm always ready for innovations.

When the then mayor Franz Hofstetter and the Jell family asked me to let the 5th Schlager Night take place in Taufkirchen, I was immediately impressed.

The cooperation with the municipality and also with the current mayor Stefan Haberl is going very well - you can tell that they are looking forward to the Schlager night with me.

I've known the Taufkirchen folk festival for many years and I'm particularly happy to be a part of it.

What can visitors look forward to?

It shouldn't just be an evening for Schlager fans, but a very special evening.

We have set up a dance floor, great artists are coming, we can and should dance and celebrate.

Exactly the right mood for the folk festival, which begins on Friday.

Absolutely.

There is no better way to get in the mood than with this colorful show program (laughs).

It should be a happy start.

Your stage is a very special one, how do you hear it?

That's right.

It's Stefan Mross's Always Sunday stage.

It's his own, and because I know him well, he's putting it at my disposal.

Then Stefan Mross could stop by for a moment, right?

Yes, he would have liked to have been there with his wife Anna, but he has another appointment and unfortunately cannot.

But there are other well-known guests there.

So everyone really knows Andy Borg and Nicki.

They're really looking forward to Taufkirchen, they told me.

Then the Duo Sunrise is there.

They are always the opening act when Andrea Berg performs and create a really good atmosphere.

And then there's Ricky Reason, the hit rapper I'm going to sing a duet with.

And New Dimension are also known here, they will definitely bring a great dance show to the stage.

And then, of course, you perform yourself.

What can we look forward to there?

I will sing many well-known hits from my four albums, and there will be one or two surprises.

It should be a happy start and we want to conjure up a real concert feeling in the hall.

Yes, you can still get some in advance, in the branches of the VR-Bank Taufkirchen-Dorfen, or on the Internet at eventim.

There are also tickets available at the box office for last-minute and spontaneous visitors.

We had to postpone it twice because of Corona, and I hope that Corona doesn't thwart our plans again at the last second.

I would be so happy if as many people as possible came to support me and my fellow artists.

Because the last two years have been really tough.
