Representatives of Israel and the United States will in the coming days examine the bullet fired by the Palestinians, from which al-Jazeera journalist Shirin Abu Akla was allegedly killed.
A number of scenarios are being prepared in Israel, including the fact that the test will reveal that the bullet is Israeli.
If it does become clear beyond any doubt that Abu Akla was killed by Israeli fire, the heads of state will admit and take responsibility.
However, "Israel Today" has learned that the political-security system is considering the possibility that the bullet is indeed Israeli, but there is no certainty that Abu Akla was killed from it.

As mentioned, the Palestinian news agency "Wafa" reported tonight (between Saturday and Sunday) that the bullet that killed journalist Sheerin Abu Akla was handed over to the American side for examination by experts.
As you may recall, the Palestinian Authority agreed to hand over the bullet to the United States, which they claimed killed Abu Akala in May in the city of Jenin.
A senior Palestinian official told Israel Today that "the Americans have more than once asked to receive the bullet in order to test it, amid pressure exerted by Democratic senators in Congress on the administration to complete the investigation into the Abu Akla death."
