Iran today announced the successful test of the country's first national train.
Fars news agency quoted the CEO of Tehran Metro Company, Masoud Derasti, as saying: “With the national train entering service, the daily passenger capacity in the metro will increase from one and a half million to between 7 and 10 million people,” explaining that this project started two years ago and the proportion of the national industry has reached in it to 85 percent.
Dersati indicated that in the event of the final international approval, the contract for the production of vehicles will enter the implementation phase locally, and this is one of the great successes in this field.
