Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that London is trying to find pretexts to bring its fleet into the Black Sea to oversee all grain transfers from the ports mined by Ukraine.

In an interview today on “Russia 1” channel, Lavrov said: The food crisis is being used for a variety of purposes, not just for propaganda, to whitewash Ukraine and hold Russia responsible for everything.

He added: "If you listen, for example, to the statements of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his Foreign Secretary Liz Terrace, it becomes clear that they are trying to create the conditions and create pretexts for the Royal Navy to infiltrate the Black Sea and start managing all the grain transfers from those Ukrainian-mined ports that they have to dismantle. Instead of these attempts.

The United Nations has repeatedly warned of the danger of a food crisis in the world due to the lack of grain, and the West accused Russia of obstructing the supply of Ukrainian grain shipments to world markets, while Moscow categorically rejects such accusations.

It is noteworthy that it was the Kyiv authorities who placed many obstacles to the export of grain, including the deliberate burning of grain in the port of Mariupol, and the Ukrainian forces placing mines in the waters of the Black Sea, which did not allow grain to be transported to world markets by ships.
