Among the macronists as in the opposition, all have in mind to move forward quickly on purchasing power, a subject of great concern.

After a first week full of twists and turns, the new National Assembly has taken shape.

It remains to turn the machine.

Split into three blocks, between Nupes, RN and a relative presidential majority, its mode of operation remains an enigma.

During the votes, will everyone stick to their positions, or can compromises be made on a case-by-case basis?

The bill on purchasing power, which should arrive on July 18 within the walls of the Palais-Bourbon, will be the first test to gauge the ability of each other to co-construct laws.

If everyone, the majority as well as the opposition, agree on the urgency of acting on this subject, the main concern of the French in a context of tension on prices, the text imagined by the government could open long debates.

In particular, it provides for an early revaluation of social benefits by 4% as well as the establishment of a “housing shield”, by limiting the rise in rental prices to 3.5%, while increasing the APL in the same proportions.

But also the extension of the discount of 18 euro cents per liter of gasoline, set up in April, until the end of August, or even December, as suggested by the Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Mayor to satisfy opposition.

On the right side of the hemicycle, the Republicans are campaigning for a cap at 1.50 euro per liter of fuel prices.

A measure that Bercy does not want to hear about.

The bridgeheads of LR are also hoping for savings and work incentives from the government.

The left, it is determined to be "force of proposal".

The Nupes has therefore announced that it will table a "common" bill to compete with the government's project.

It must take up key measures from the presidential program of Jean-Luc Mélenchon: “The price freeze on basic necessities, energy, fuel.

And the increase in the minimum wage to 1,500 euros net”.

Also mentioned:

“The possibility of regulating rents.
