In the past, Ni Kuang's science fiction novels were very popular and became popular readings of the day. Among them, "Wesley" is one of his most famous writers.
"Wesley" has been serialized in newspapers since 1963, and a total of 156 novels have been published, which have been adapted into films, television and radio dramas.

Ni Kuang was born on May 30, 1935, at the age of 87. His real name is Ni Cong, the word Yiming. His ancestral home is Zhenhai, Ningbo, Zhejiang, China. He immigrated to Hong Kong from mainland China in 1957. Female writer Yi Shu's elder brother; son Ni Zhen, and the bride is artist and singer Vivian Chow.
He moved to Los Angeles in 1992 and returned to Hong Kong in 2007.
The pseudonyms that Ni Kuang has used successively are most known as "Wesley", others include Shaweng, Yuechuan, Wei Li, Yiqi, Hongxin, and Weilong.
