The vast knowledge accumulated during the development of lightning missiles was also used by the developers of these systems.
Following the declaration of the economic water and the finding of the gas fields, the Israeli government decided to impose on the navy to protect the economic water and resources within its territory, and thus the integrated defense system was born, which includes assault ships 6, advanced radar systems, lightning 8 missiles and a naval iron dome system. There will be systems that will protect the gas rigs in the economic water. And in the defense industry.
Hezbollah's threats to hit the gas rigs in the Shark gas field, and as a result - the energetic independence of the State of Israel, put the navy on alert and allowed the successful interception carried out by the Eilat brothers, from the Saar 5 series, but that is not enough.
The State of Israel must respond severely to this attempt by Hezbollah, and it must hit targets that serve the Iranian organization's UAV system. Attacking these targets, combined with naval and air defense systems, will deter Iran and Hezbollah from further attempts to launch UAVs into the economic waters of Israel.
