After the hustle and bustle of the G7 summit, the craftsmen arrive at the luxury resort "Das Kranzbach" to renovate 60 rooms.

The inventory is thrown out.

The highlight: the armchairs, stools and tables can be picked up free of charge.

Kranzbach

– That's a good thing to hear in times of rising energy prices and growing inflation: In the Krün wellness resort "Das Kranzbach" a large amount of inventory will be given away next weekend.

"We're talking about intact, valuable furniture in a five-star hotel," explains Dr.

Jacob Edinger.

First of all, however, employees, social institutions or clubs from the region can use it.

The background to this extraordinary campaign: After the reopening of the noble hostel in 2007, a large-scale renovation is pending.

In concrete terms: 60 rooms are being overhauled.

The furniture – 120 high-class armchairs, bedside tables, desks, stools – are being phased out.

And Edinger believes that those who need it most should benefit from this.

High-quality armchairs are available for free.

The investor, who bought Kranzbach Castle almost 20 years ago and transformed it into a first-class address, knows what he is talking about: he himself grew up in the mid-1940s under austere post-war conditions in his parents' farm and inn on the Wilder Kaiser.

So it's no wonder that the Mittenwald children's home Mauganest is one of the privileged facilities.

But luxury furniture will remain in sufficient quantity for the coming weekend - Edinger and hotel manager Ralf Enseleit agree on that.

Especially when, as Einseleit jokingly puts it, it's about "garage sales for free".

The boss and his manager survived the G7 summit well.

It was exhausting, says Edinger.

"He just doesn't take it easy," adds Enseleit.

G7 guests - primarily high-ranking representatives of the Federal Foreign Office and the Federal Criminal Police Office - will be staying in the building until tomorrow.

At the same time, renovation work is already underway in the 60 suites mentioned.

In other words: the political hustle and bustle transitions seamlessly into the revision phase.

Edinger, Enseleit and the Kranzbach team have very little time to catch their breath.

The free action

takes place on

Saturday and Sunday, 2./3.

July,

between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. in the five-star hotel "Das Kranzbach".

The furniture can be picked up free of charge from the in-house garage.

Those approaching the resort via the conventional route must turn left before the staff car park and drive around the property.

By the way: everything from the region is also available in our regular GAP newsletter.
