For five years there has been no trace of a young person from Middle Franconia.

Now the case has also landed on the ZDF program “Aktenzeichen XY … unsolved”.

Markt Bibart/Munich – A teenager runs away from home because things are not going well at school and there are frequent arguments at home.

A scenario that is certainly more common in Germany.

But as a rule, the young people return to their families after a few days.

Not so Till Ramming.

There has been no sign of life from the boy from Markt Bibart in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district for five years.

Now even the ZDF cult show “Aktenzeichen XY … unsolved” has turned on.

“Aktenzeichen XY … unsolved” (ZDF): Missing teenager runs away from home and disappears

A frequent reason for arguments between the then 15-year-old Till and his parents was gaming on the PlayStation.

And so begins the teenager's last known journey.

On September 16, 2017, Till claims that he is doing a trial day at a company.

In truth, he withdraws all his savings - around 215 euros - and drives to a friend he met through gambling.

The adult man lives in Lingen an der Ems in Lower Saxony, about 450 kilometers away.

It wasn't the first time he'd gone there.

However, the last time he came back on his own a day later.

But this time he didn't want to go back.

He asks his friend to be allowed to stay with him.

However, he declines and informs the youth welfare office.

On September 18, 2017, Till was put on the train home by an employee of the youth welfare office.

The last time the teenager was seen.

The Ansbach police, who took over the case, assume that Till must have gotten off at one of the following stations.

In any case, he never made it to Markt Bibart.

The youngster's last sign of life came four weeks later.

He was with the volunteer fire brigade and wrote a message to one of his friends on his cell phone.

He is in Berlin and doesn't dare to come home.

After that he blocked contact and was gone.

Manfred Hänßler from the Ansbach Criminal Police Office is in charge of the case.

In the ZDF program he says that Till's tracks led to Dortmund, to the Dutch border, to Hamburg, Berlin, Freiburg, Bielefeld and Hanover.

"We have to assume that he can be anywhere and everywhere today," said the police officer.

Till, now 20, has been missing for five years.

His parents hope and assume that the now 20-year-old has built a new life somewhere.

They hope that he is doing well and that he will contact them.

In the program “Aktenzeichen XY … unsolved” Mother Rosa says: “Till, please get in touch.

You don't have to go home if you don't want to, but please let me know you're okay.

This would be my biggest wish.

I have no other wish.”
