Haar
- A ten-year-old was hospitalized on Friday after riding her bike into a car in Haar.
According to the police, the accident happened as follows: A 78-year-old from Munich was driving his Dacia around 1:25 p.m. out of town on Münchner Straße.
According to the current status of the investigation, he wanted to cross the intersection to Jadfeldring straight ahead.
Since the traffic lights there were out of order at the time, traffic on Münchner Strasse had the right of way according to the traffic signs (“priority road”).
At the same time, the ten-year-old from the district of Munich was riding her bike on the Jagdfeldring cycle path and then wanted to cross the Münchner Straße.
She therefore waited there first at the common pedestrian and cycle path ford.
According to the police, when the traffic on Münchner Strasse decreased, she drove off and collided sideways with the 78-year-old's Dacia.
The girl was injured in the collision and the subsequent fall on the roadway and was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
The two occupants of the car were unharmed.
While the accident was being recorded, the road on the outskirts of Munich was closed for about two hours.
There were traffic disruptions.
