The Ministerial Committee on Population Aging, chaired by Minister of Welfare Meir Cohen and Minister of Social Equality Meirav Cohen, met this morning (Sunday) for the second time in a month.

The committee agreed on the implementation of a support program for families of nursing patients, which includes a special application that will provide the information needed to employ foreign workers, a system for submitting required forms and a training course for nursing and their families employing a foreign worker.

During the committee's discussions, an outline was presented for the implementation of the recommendations of the inter - ministerial staff for changing the method of employing foreign workers in the nursing industry.

One of the staff's important recommendations is to continue direct employment that includes an envelope of assistance and support, in order to reduce the bureaucratic burden involved in direct employment of foreign workers, which falls on the shoulders of nursing patients, while creating a single address for them.

The support package, which will be launched within a few months, will include an app that will gather for the nursing patient all the information he needs to employ a foreign worker and assist him in employment, and will serve as a convenient platform for calculating the amounts required by the employer to pay the foreign worker. Make order for him in all the permits and forms required for employment.
