Two anniversaries were celebrated this weekend at fire brigades in the district.

In Forstinning in the north and in Glonn in the south of the district.

Forstinning/Glonn – Welcome to the shop....: Hans Well hasn't finished the sentence when he and his children are already greeted with sympathy on the stage of the Forstinning fire brigade.

The cabaret folk musician certainly doesn't want to say paradise.

There is certainly no mention of a center either.

More like a desert.

In the almost sold-out marquee in Forstinning, everyone has long known what is actually meant.

Even when Well alludes to the closure of the last remaining butcher shop on site and formulates the demand for a large part of the audience: "We don't want to become vegetarians".

On the Saturday of the festival, Well and his Wellbappn will do what they recently suggested in an EZ interview: to deliver musical cabaret with strong local references.

Luise Kinseher doesn't let herself be asked either.

Admires 150 years of the existence of a village fire brigade and cheekily asks if there was anything that could have caught fire in Forstinning back then, in 1872.

Cabaret with some local tips

The audience laughs heartily.

Self-mockery included.

There is no doubt that Forstinning is not exactly a place where you would be overwhelmed by sights (O-Ton Kinseher).

So much fun on Saturday, so serious yesterday's festival Sunday with church service, flag and vehicle consecration on the Heinzeller meadow.

The focus is on fire brigade pastor Matthias Holzbauer, who immediately picks out Mayor Ostermair and calls him the one who, as the top employer, regularly sends out 72 disciples who all practice charity.

"Get out and do something, that's our mission," said the man from Glonn, who in almost all of his words is always with his friends in Glonn, who are celebrating their 150th anniversary at the same time.

However, Forstinning asked first, says the deacon.

It is logical that he would have liked to have been with his comrades in the south of the district.

What Holzbauer addresses to the firefighters in his speech in Forstinning is to a certain extent also intended for the FFW in the market town: Each of them, as the Gospel puts it, is sent “to the wolves”.

It is particularly tragic when helpers meet people who are not well disposed towards them.

Charity, as practiced by the fire brigades, is actually a prelude to everyone.

Holzbauer: "Everyone should actually be with a local fire brigade".

From today's perspective, the founding of local militia/citizen communities 150 years ago was the best invention that one could imagine.
