With summer temperatures and a lot of alcohol, there was a lot for the police to do.
Bayreuth - For the first time since 2019 - due to the corona pandemic, of course - the city center of Bayreuth has been transformed into a party mile again.

The weather was perfect, but with high summer temperatures and large quantities of alcohol, the police had their hands full on Saturday evening, July 2nd.
Bayreuth Citizens' Festival 2022: Largely boisterous atmosphere until midnight
Throughout the evening, the police describe the mood at the Bayreuth Citizens' Festival as exuberant, and the streets were already full of people in the early evening.
There were only minor operations: a drunk man ended up in the police cell at around 8 p.m.
It had slammed against a door, then his intoxication got so bad "that he was taken to a hospital by ambulance."
In addition, marijuana was found on a young man, and he had to part with the prohibited narcotics.
Although the quarrels increased when dusk began, the police still describe the mood as “predominantly relaxed and happy”.

In the area of La Spezia Square and Opernstraße there were insults, physical harm and shoving.
Frictions also occurred during the rest of the night, the police write.
However, these went unscathed.
