A bond for eternity: Boys' club celebrates flag consecration

The Unterföhring boys' club finally has a flag.
The boys celebrated the consecration of this extensively.
Unterföhring – The Unterföhring boys' club has been around for ten years and now it also has a flag.
The figurehead of the boys was consecrated by Pastor Markus Brunner yesterday.
Deputations from friendly associations from the region bowed in front of the decorated altar and the flag ribbons.
"You guys have a good connection to the top," Father Brunner opened the festive ceremony in front of the Feststadl with a view of the bright sunshine.
Even he could not have provided more ideal conditions.
The pastor should know.
"There's big things to celebrate," he called out to the boys and recommended: "Remember this day." With the flag consecration ceremony, the boys make a bond for eternity.
At a time when rifts are deepening everywhere, it is important to find support.
The flag stands for community.
"Community in turn gives support," echoed the priest's voice from the walls of the neighboring underground car park.

The new flag, designed by a specialist office based on its own proposals, was dedicated in the tenth year since the association was founded in 2012.
The already significant celebration thus gained additional weight.
Historically based on military standards, such as the standards of Roman legions, the boys from Unterföhring base their cohesion less on military traditions than on socio-cultural content.
"The flag is an expression of the human longing not to be alone, but to stand up for one another and to pursue goals and ideals together," said Pastor Brunner, referring to the current crucial tests for "human togetherness", the war and its Consequences, the never-ending pandemic and skyrocketing prices.
"It's good that you keep the tradition",
he summed up immediately before the intercessions.
"It's good that you know where you're from."
The ceremony was the highlight of a three-day flag consecration festival.
Boys and Deandln from the region have come to express their solidarity.
Even a few Rottalers came.
Ensign Benedikt Nadler received the freshly consecrated flag, chairman Christoph Axenbeck spoke of the enthusiasm for customs and the joy of passing on traditions to young boys and guests.
"God be with you, you land of Bavaria," it suddenly sounded.
The fire brigade, gardeners, edelweiß and immergrün, boys from Pliening, Kirchheim and the "Hoassn Hasn" joined the song of the Bavarians when the firecrackers decided to make themselves heard.

Finally, the participants of the consecration positioned themselves for the parade.
Just as many clubs flocked over from the fairground.
A jolly bunch, laughing and singing, in the midst of it all the Deandln from Paunzhausen with a ghetto blaster and lots of beer on the wheelbarrow.
Boys from Marzling and Hochbrück countered.
Party music blared from huge speakers.
The third day of celebrations started promisingly.
