A bachelor party in Würzburg ended fatally for a tourist.
An angler found his body the next morning – the exact circumstances are unclear.
Würzburg – An angler on the Main in Würzburg in north-western Bavaria made a horrifying discovery on Sunday morning, July 3: the lifeless body of a man was floating in the river.
He immediately alerted the fire brigade and police.
However, the man could not be saved, the emergency services could only recover his dead body from the water.

The emergency call from the angler was received by the police and fire brigade shortly before 5 a.m., according to the police press release.
The news: A lifeless person is floating in the Main near the Kranenkai.
A major police and fire brigade operation immediately began, but only the body of the 39-year-old could be recovered from the water.
According to the current status of the investigation, the dead man is a tourist from Frankfurt am Main.
According to a police spokesman, further investigations have now revealed that the man attended a bachelor party on Saturday evening, July 2nd.
On the night of Sunday he fell from the Old Main Bridge into the river and drowned, possibly intoxicated.

The Würzburg criminal police have started further investigations on site.
