At least 27 people were killed in two separate terrorist attacks in northern and northeastern Burkina Faso.
Agence France-Presse quoted security sources as saying today: Extremist gunmen attacked the civilian population in Burasso, an area near Didogo, the capital of Kosi province, killing about 15 people, according to an initial toll.
For his part, another security source said that another attack took place the day before yesterday in Namesegina in Yatinga province in the north of the country, killing 12 people, including three volunteers for defending the homeland, which sparked waves of displacement from the area.
At least 50 civilians were killed on the 13th of last month in a terrorist attack targeting the village of Setinga, north of Burkina Faso.
