The VOX hit show "The Perfect Dinner" is taking place this week in and around Augsburg.

Babsi from Wehringen will start.

Wehringen – It's being boiled up again in Bavaria.

"The perfect dinner" - the successful cooking show from VOX - makes a stop in Augsburg.

Four women and a rooster in a basket are standing at the stove.

Barbara, also known as Babsi, will open the dance on Monday, July 4th.

The 36-year-old manager from the town of Wehringen, south of Augsburg, had hoped but not expected to cook for dinner.

In an interview, she reveals why she had to switch gears quickly in order to be able to get involved in the race for the "Dinner" crown.

"The perfect dinner" in Augsburg: Babsi, who came after her, has to think about something quickly

"Triple of three" sounds like a lot of work.

Babsi:

The menu was born out of necessity.

I couldn't decide.

That's why it got so big.

How come?

Babsi:

I came on the show as a replacement.

I didn't think it was really going to happen until the commitment came.

So I only had exactly one week to implement everything.

It was nerve-wracking to get everything up and running in such a short amount of time.

Everything should be perfect.

That was my inner will.

Was there even time to be happy about participating?

Babe:

Sure.

Participating in the “perfect dinner” has always been on my bucket list.

At the latest when my house was finished five years ago, it was clear that I wanted to take part in the show.

“The Perfect Dinner” has also taken place in the Allgäu.

The winner reports on a curious moment.

Babsi is happy about the other candidates at the "perfect dinner".

Did the nervousness cook with it or was it okay?

Babsi:

During the shooting I felt a certain inner excitement.

I was the first to cook.

But that quickly subsided when the guests arrived.

During the dinner itself I just functioned.

After all, it was the first day and no one really knew how things were going.

But when my plan worked and dessert was on the table at 10 p.m., I felt an inner relief that cannot be put into words.

I was able to enjoy the rest of the week in a relaxed manner – even if working and shooting on the same day turned out to be a little too stressful.

Wasn't it weird being filmed while cooking?

Babsi:

Of course you feel like you're being watched.

But whether you're eating, preparing or whatever you're doing, the cameras are always there.

At first I was a little shy.

But you get used to it pretty quickly.

Thanks to the great team, everything quickly became very familiar and fun.

Everyone was super nice.

What were the other candidates like?

Will there even be a reunion?

Babsi:

As soon as they came up the stairs, my gut feeling told me that this group would fit and that it would be harmonious.

And that's how it went throughout the week.

On a personal level, everything was right between us.

I'm going to do a streaming evening before the broadcast - with friends and family - and the four of them have to be there too.

Everyone has already agreed.

I give the VOX team ten points for selecting the candidates.

The guests of the "perfect dinner" in Augsburg obviously enjoyed themselves with hostess Babsi (centre).

After the "perfect dinner", Babsi now also wants to cook against Tim Mälzer

If it was such a harmonious week, was there a highlight at all?

Babsi:

We actually had so many incredibly great moments that I can't say which was the best experience.

We had a lot of fun and laughed even more.

The whole week was actually a highlight.

For me, the best memory of this week was being able to be there and experience it all.

If it was such a great experience, will there be a reunion in another TV format?

Babsi:

No, I don't think so.

There was only one format that would still appeal to me.

I would like to take part in "Kitchen Impossible" with Tim Mälzer.

But I'm much, much, much too small a number for that.

(laughs)
