Peter Lang becomes the new rector of the Tölzer Jahn School.
This ends the double burden for Christian Müller: He last headed the Jahn and Südschule.
Bad Tölz/Icking – A primary school in the district gets a new principal, the other has to let her go.
As the school authority confirmed to our newspaper, Peter Lang will take over the management of the Jahnschule in Bad Tölz on August 1st.
He is currently rector in Icking.
Double school management at the interim solution
In Bad Tölz, an interim solution ends: As reported, the former rector Christine Janning had to give up her position at the Jahnschule for health reasons.
Christian Müller stepped in in her place.
For one school year he had to run two schools in parallel, because Müller is also the head of the elementary and middle school in Bad Tölz Süd.
The deputy school management is now also permanently occupied
In addition, the position of vice-principal was vacant because Birgit Veigl moved to Lenggries.
According to Petra Burkhardt, head of the school authority, there is a solution here too: Jana Briksa, who had previously acted as deputy headmistress, is now officially taking over this post.
The “great staff” at the Jahnschule “mastered the transitional period superbly,” says Burkhardt.
Rector's position in Icking is advertised
One rector for two schools: In theory, such a scenario would also be possible at the Icking elementary school.
According to Burkhardt, the rector's position there has been advertised and a decision has not yet been made.
By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Bad Tölz newsletter.
Peter Lang (44) took over the management of the Ickinger School on August 1, 2019.
He had previously been a teacher there.
The move to Bad Tölz is another career step for him, because the Jahn School is bigger.
Among other things, Lang brings with him to Bad Tölz a qualification as a counseling teacher and experience with the all-day school.
