Bad Wiessee celebrated less the venerable "Bad" anniversary than a rejuvenation at the weekend.
The lake promenade turned into a party zone for two days.
Thousands celebrated.
Bad Wiessee
- "I'm flashed.
This is how I want to see Bad Wiessee: celebrate, be happy and have a uniquely beautiful evening.” Mayor Robert Kühn was more than euphoric on Saturday night (2 July) when he let the guests go home after two successful party evenings.
Already on Friday, an ABBA cover band had the anniversary visitors dancing and celebrating on the tables.
On Saturday it was the young musicians from Hoamatbeat in a new line-up who led the guests into the wonderful evening with new and well-known Bavarian rock songs.
Around 8 p.m., with the stage conversion, there was also a change of baton to the “forever young” local heroes from Trovasur, who have been bringing Caribbean flair to the valley with Cuban songs for almost 25 years.
Trovasur's new sound captivates the fans
Matching the spectacular sunset, Georg Höss (guitar, treble and vocals), Markus Aldenhoven (guitar and vocals), Andreas Erlacher (accordion), Matthias Erhardt (percussion), Sebastian Erhardt (guitarrón), Klaus Miller (zither, percussion and vocals) and Raúl Piminchumo (percussion, guitar and vocals) hit the ground running with the world hit Chan Chan (Buena Vista Social Club).
Die-hard Trovasur fans were immediately captivated by the new sound.
With composer, arranger and pianist Thomas Rebensburg, the Tegernsee Soneros not only brought a permanent new band member on board, but also impressive wind support in the form of saxophonist Thomas Tomaschek, trombonist Mathias Götz and trumpeter Hans Kröll.
At the end of the concert evening there was a spectacular laser show, in which the lettering "Bad Wiessee" could also be seen.

Perlseer dirndls sing in Spanish instead of Bavarian
The sound that Rebensburg wrote in the Tradicionals would have been fascinating in itself.
But on the occasion of the Wiessee anniversary, the Perlseer dirndls Michaela Brückner, Susi Wiesner and Christina Meier crowned the program with their classic Bavarian trio and the classic Bavarian instrumentation.
Polished as always, but in Spanish instead of Bavarian they sang "Veinte anos", "Perfidia", "Que nadie sepa mi sufrir", "Castellano", "Has Amado us mujer des Veras" and "Oye como va" - times Solo as a trio, sometimes in dialogue with the male voices of Trovasur.
Music makes the atmosphere on the lake shore boil over
It was not only musically unique and spectacular, but also in terms of atmosphere.
Because at some point all the guests – regardless of whether they were in dirndls, lederhosen, dresses or linen Bermuda shorts, young or old – stood and danced the Rumba, Meringue, Mambo.
The unique sound allowed the concert to flourish as a Caribbean beach party on the banks of the Tegernsee.
A musical makeover.

Laser show catapults party people into an ultra-cool club
"40 years ago, when I was still going to school," explained Trovasur frontman and presenter Schorsch Höß, "Bad Wiessee felt ancient, more like 130 years or even older." Today it's very different: Bad Wiessee is young and lively.
As if to prove it, the audience cheered, applauded, danced and sang along for two and a half hours until Mayor Kühn then announced the big “Instead of the Lake Festival Fireworks” laser show.
Colorful fingers of light, shapes, figures and lettering danced glittering on a gigantic wall of water with techno sounds that were initially apocalyptic, but then became increasingly spacy.
Without further ado, the party people were transported from the hot Caribbean to an ultra-cool club: there, again, they danced exuberantly to the this time spherical sounds.
