Actually, the Alpenrose costumers wanted to celebrate their big birthday in 2020.

Then Corona came.

Now they're catching up on what they've missed.

Königsdorf

– The past two and a half years of the pandemic have not been a bed of roses for anyone.

However, the coronavirus and its consequences hit the Alpenrose Königsdorf-Osterhofen Trachtenverein twice: the Trachtlers had put many months of work into preparing for the multi-day Gaufest, which they wanted to celebrate in May 2020 on the occasion of their 100th birthday together with the local mountain riflemen.

Then came the lockdown - and with it the cancellation of the numerous planned events.

On Sunday, July 10th, the association would like to catch up on what it has missed and celebrate its founding anniversary in the stock hall on the sports field.

The sponsoring association from Tölz and Thanning are on site

Franz Mayer is really looking forward to the festival.

After this long period of deprivation, it's "nice that we can finally celebrate together," says the head of the club.

After it became apparent in March/April that events would be possible again over the summer, planning began and invitations were issued.

The sponsoring clubs of Königsdorf, Bad Tölz and Thanning, as well as the local clubs, will take part in the church procession from the clubhouse to the sports field.

Since the parking spaces at the clubhouse in the industrial area are limited, the costumers ask their guests to park at the sports field.

After the fair, the public is also cordially invited to sit together in the Stockhalle, chat and eat.

At lunchtime there's roast pork and Kasspatzn, in the afternoon coffee and cake, "and in the early evening we have a barbecue," says Mayer.

He expects “about 400 visitors”.

In bad weather, they sit protected under the roof of the hall.

"If it's nice, we can also sit outside."

The youth stayed the course during Corona

Despite an "actually complete standstill" during the pandemic, the club managed to keep the youngsters in line," says secretary Regina Mayr.

There were between 50 and 60 young people before Covid, and there are as many now.

Mayr: "If it was somehow possible and allowed, we held a Plattler rehearsal outside or invited the youth to a barbecue."

For the first time in two years, the Trachtlers met in person for a general meeting in mid-May and elected a new association management.

At the top, everything stays the same: Franz Mayer was confirmed in his office as first chairman.

Carolin Holzer supports him as the new deputy.
