Finance Minister Lieberman: "By the end of the year, housing and fuel prices have fallen" Israel today

2022-07-04T12:22:25.746Z

The last day in the Knesset plenum and Minister Lieberman referred to the laws on the table and claimed that "agriculture reform is the real test for all those who talk about the cost of living" • When asked about the prime minister, Lieberman answered the question "Israel today":

"I consider myself a candidate for prime minister," Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman said today (Monday) in response to a question from a "Israel Today" reporter at the beginning of the faction's meeting.

Lieberman opened by saying that "in all the last rounds of the election we have clearly announced in advance, our goal is to replace the government and its leader, to establish a coalition without Shas and Torah Judaism and to pass the budget, we have kept all our promises."

In his remarks, Lieberman referred to the publication of her unemployment and employment data and promised that fuel and housing prices would fall by the end of the year.

"Unemployment and employment data were published today, the State of Israel is at 0 unemployment, below 3 percent who are in fact chronically unemployed.

We are also in a deficit of 0 and also in other important issues such as housing and fuel prices, by the end of the year we will lower prices, "said the Minister of Finance.

"We have started several initiatives and projects in this area, including a new program in the field of housing and excise tax on fuel, so I am sure that by the end of the year we will lower the prices of fuel and housing," he added.

Referring to the orders of the agriculture reform, Lieberman said: "Today an important decision is before the Knesset and it is the real test for all those who talk about the cost of living.

Anyone who votes against those orders should understand that he is voting in favor of the cost of living.

We had long negotiations with all the farmers, including this morning, whose agriculture was sitting with their representatives.

The attitude of some representatives who negotiate and say they want to raise tariffs on fruit and vegetables because they grow them here and the refusal that we want to lower tariffs on mixtures and fertilizers, is an approach that is intolerable.

Anyone who votes in favor of revoking the orders himself raises the prices of fruits, vegetables and agricultural produce. "

On the Metro Law, he added: "Even today, the chairman of the faction also asked the coalition management and the Speaker of the Knesset to put the Metro Law to a vote in the second and third readings, because today is the last day.

I discussed this personally with the Speaker of the Knesset, the Speaker of the Coalition and also with the Prime Minister.

I think it is a grave mistake not to raise the Metro law, it is a wrong message, it is a message that politics is before citizens, that politics is before material considerations in favor of the economy.

As I have already said, we will continue to work for the citizens of Israel and meet all our commitments.

I am sure that in the next election we will form a government and a Zionist coalition without Netanyahu. "
