Former Prefect Jean-François Carenco appointed Minister of Overseas

Former prefect Jean-François Carenco was appointed Minister of Overseas Territories on Monday to replace Yaël Braun-Pivet, since elected president of the National Assembly, the Elysée announced in a press release. The new minister, who was notably prefect of Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon (1996-1997) and Guadeloupe (1999-2002), a graduate of Ena, has until now chaired the Energy Regulation Commission .
