He is one of the newest ministers.

One of the few members of this repoliticized government not to come from the seraglio and to benefit from his professional experience.

François Braun has just been appointed this Monday morning Minister of Health.

He thus replaces Brigitte Bourguignon, beaten on June 19 in her constituency of Pas-de-Calais against her opponent RN, with 56 votes.

Aged 60, this emergency doctor, head of emergencies at the CHR in Metz-Thionville and president of Samu-Urgences de France, is fully entering French political life.

In June 2022, he was charged by Emmanuel Macron with a flash mission on the deficiencies of the hospital in France.

This mission carried out by four doctors alongside the boss of the ARS of Normandy had led to the publication of 41 proposals supposed to allow the public hospital to resist a summer presented as being at risk.

François Braun thus becomes the fourth Minister of Health under the presidency of Emmanuel Macron, after Brigitte Bourguignon, Olivier Véran and Agnès Buzyn.
