The Mayor of Weichs stops prematurely as WBV chairman

Weichs – Mayor Harald Mundl, who has headed the Weichs citizens' representation (WBV) since it was founded in 2007, has now resigned his office while he was still in office.

Jochen Reiner was elected his successor (we reported).

However, Mundl will continue to manage the fund until the board elections in 2024.

In a last speech at the general meeting, he reviewed the many years of his work on the board.

So it was heard from him that the WBV with five seats is still the strongest force in the municipal council.

And that in the past 14 years, since the WBV first moved into the town hall, a lot has been moved and implemented.

"We definitely have something to show for it," said Mundl.

As examples he named the settlement of a net market, the new housing area, the broadband expansion, the construction of the sports and community center, the children's home and the creation of a good information policy.

Mundl also did not forget to mention the harmonious cooperation with the other groups in the municipal council.

And he did not hide the fact that all this could only be achieved with moderate budget management.

At the moment, the Weichs citizens' representation has 21 members.

The annual fee is 50 euros.

According to Mundl, the cash balance is quite manageable, but the WBV is not dissatisfied with it.

In his outlook on future activities, WBV member Christian Blumenschein mentioned participation in the municipal holiday program.

The WBV is again offering a canoe tour on the Altmühl this year.

At the end of his term as chairman, Mundl received a small gift from the deputy WBV chairman Andrea Neumann.
