Maurizio Faganello, head of the Cristallo ice cream parlor in Wolfratshausen's old town, sees himself faced with a challenge every day: "We have seen an extreme increase in costs for every product - not one has stayed at the same price." are received,” says Faganello.

Pistachios, for example, are currently so exorbitantly expensive that he has removed the pistachio ice cream from the range.

The prices for drinks, electricity, staff and rent have risen sharply.
Faulisi had to pay tribute to the unsightly conditions - and raise the price for a scoop of ice cream to 1.40 euros.

The experienced ice cream producer Ralph Bernard describes an equally tense situation in his Roma ice cream parlor in Wolfratshausen: For almost 50 years we have had contractual fixed prices in purchasing throughout the season.
Now the prices are variable and are increased almost every month.” According to Bernard, the cost of a liter of milk rose by a full 40 percent in one year, from 74 cents to 1.04 euros.
"We'll have to raise our prices, otherwise we'll be tight." That means for the Roma friends: Since Friday, the ball has cost 1.30 euros.
But that's not all.
He looks forward to the next electricity bill with concern: "Unfortunately, ice production is not particularly energy-efficient." This is particularly noticeable in the back payment.

Gaby Amodio from the Roma ice cream parlor in Geretsried has also adapted her ice cream menu to the circumstances.
It charges 1.40 euros for a ball, which is 20 cents more than last year.
Amodio: "It's the only way we can go." Otherwise the business is no longer a business.
The customers have understanding for the battered Gelatieri: "You understand the situation we are in at the moment," says Amodio.
"There were only violent reactions at the beginning," says Faulisi. Faganello also had "one or two complaints about the price," but these remained a rarity.
Amodio tries to keep a positive attitude: "You can't just see everything negatively.
