Prime Minister Yair Lapid considered the possibility of attending the wedding of the granddaughter of Torah Judaism chairman Moshe Gafni, which took place in Bnei Brak yesterday (Sunday), but his entourage received a message that it would be better to avoid it. The Prime Minister's Office claimed in response that Lapid's non-arrival had nothing to do with the political situation and that he "did not want to burden with security arrangements."

There has been a certain closeness between Gafni and Lapid recently, the two met and even discussed political issues.
After the closeness between the two was also attributed political significance in case Netanyahu did not get 61 seats in the upcoming election, Gafni clarified that Lapid "is not my partner and will not be my partner."
Gafni's granddaughter's wedding, which took place in the palaces of Chen Palaces, provoked sharp criticism following the participation of senior government officials, including Labor Chairman, Minister Merav Michaeli, Minister Meir Cohen and Knesset Speaker Miki Levy.
Most of the criticism was directed at Shas MKs. Gafni, one of the vocal MKs against the outgoing government, said in response that a personal family event should be separated from political life.

MK Yoav Ben-Zur (Shas) harshly criticized Michaeli's arrival at the wedding.
"The Minister of Transportation, who thought that the ultra-Orthodox public was cast from the same shallow raw material that watches the 'back of the nation,' was wrong," he said.
"He who inhumanely starves our children and harms the bird of our souls will wage an unequivocal war of attrition against him."
The chairman of the Shas faction, MK Michael Malkieli, also attacked Gafni and joined the criticism leveled against him. "The Bennett government was formed after the Golan Heights event," he said. Hasidic.
There is no doubt that the yeshiva students and seminary girls saw "educational figures" last night.
