Defendant Xiao Chunqiang, 66 years old.
He is charged with the murder of Wang Fenggui (55) in Hong Kong on November 14, 2019.
The court revealed that the defendant denied murder and pleaded guilty to manslaughter, but was not accepted by the prosecution.

The accused is Wang's third husband
The prosecution's opening statement pointed out that the female deceased, Wang Fenggui, worked as a cleaning lady at the time of the incident, and she had experienced two marriages.
After marrying her second husband, she settled in Hong Kong and lived in a unit in Sheung Fu Building, Upper Village of Ngau Tau Kok.
Wang married the defendant in 2017, following the death of her second husband.
The defendant came to Hong Kong with a two-way permit from time to time, and would live in the flat of Wang Yu Sheung Fu Building.
The prosecution alleges that the defendant and Wang scrambled from time to time.
On November 12, 2019, the defendant went shopping. Wang accused the defendant of buying too much fruit and too little pork. The two then quarreled over the matter.

The next night, "Sparrow Feet" came to their unit to play sparrows.
After "Sparrow's Foot" left the unit at 1 am on the 14th, the defendant and Wang re-argued over the incident of buying food.
During the period, Wang Shi scolded the defendant: "X Street, there is no way to save it." The two began to use force.
The defendant took a knife from the kitchen and cut multiple parts of Wang's body, and then beat her with a wooden stool.
The defendant then washed off the blood on his body and left Hong Kong via Lok Ma Chau at about 7am.
He had called the daughter of Wang and his ex-husband to reveal that he had committed the murder.
Mother Qi saw blood on the wooden door and called the police
Since Wang's "Mother Qi" could not contact Wang, he went to the door to ask.
"Mother Qi" found blood on the wooden door of the unit, and because she was worried, she notified the security and called the police.
Firefighters then broke into the house and found Wang lying on the ground of Ke Ting.
Paramedics declared Wang dead at 12 noon.
During the forensic examination, Wang's face, left neck and back of the head were found to have stab wounds.
The defendant was arrested when he returned to Hong Kong at about 4 pm on the same day. He warned and said, "I killed my wife Wang Fenggui with a knife at about 6 o'clock today, and then went to Shenzhen."
