Today, in the airport park, in the center of Daraa, the forum for drawings for children under the age of 12, which is held by the Union of Fine Artists, Daraa branch, under the title (Joy of the homeland in children's drawings), was launched.
Head of the Daraa branch of the Union of Fine Artists, Nabil Abu Nabout, explained in a statement to SANA that the number of children participating in the forum exceeded fifty, as its outdoor organization in the airport garden prompted the residents near the park to send their children to participate in it, pointing out that the main purpose of the forum is to reflect the positive image of the community. Abu Nabout pointed out that leaving the closed halls into the open air, where nature allows children to express themselves better and allows their hobbies and talents to appear, adding that the forum aims to develop their creative skills and add joy and pleasure to them.
For his part, the plastic artist Saad Shawky indicated that this forum allows the child to express his love for his homeland in the way he sees fit through the use of shape and color, pointing out that despite the simplicity of the children’s drawings, they are expressive and that nature suggests to them many things and opens their horizons, indicating that it is possible That this type of forum be a gateway to searching for the seeds of artists in these children and developing their talents, pointing out that the impressionist school started from nature, and therefore nature is a source of inspiration for children.
Sereen Al-Noufal and Dala'a Saqer, two girls participating in the forum, indicated that this event is an opportunity for them and all the children to express their thoughts through papers and colors, indicating that they are happy to participate in this forum.
The Forum for drawings for children under the age of 12 is organized in cooperation between the Daraa branch of the Baath Party, the governorate of Daraa, the Daraa branch of the Baath Vanguards, and the Directorate of Education.
