Pipinsried – Shortly after takeoff, the pilot of an ultralight aircraft noticed problems with his aircraft.
He tried to return to the airfield, but couldn't.
"Accident with an ultralight aircraft": This was the report for the fire brigade, THW and rescue service on Sunday around 7:20 p.m. near Pipinsried.
After taking off from a special ultralight landing site near Altomünster, the pilot noticed problems with his aircraft.
He then tried to return to the nearby airfield, but was unsuccessful, resulting in an emergency landing in a grain field.
Fortunately, the pilot and his companion were only slightly injured in the accident, both were taken to a clinic for further treatment, as the district fire brigade association said in a press release.
Since the injured had already been freed when the rescue workers arrived, the fire brigade took over the task of securing the scene and ensuring fire protection.
Due to leaked operating materials, the Lower Water Protection Authority and THW Dachau were also ordered to the site.
The fire brigades from Altomünster, Eisenhofen, Schiltberg, the district fire inspection and the support group on site were deployed.
