Senior Torah Judaism officials this morning (Monday) expressed outrage at Chairman Moshe Gafni, due to the apparent warming in relations between him and elements in the center-left camp.
"He falls in love with every election in the position of flirting with the left," they accused.
"It doesn't really matter. The ultra-Orthodox did not really sit in the government with Lapid and Michaeli without the Likud. The maximum would be an attempt to establish something with Ganz, in partnership with the Likud, if there is no right 61 (seats; AA)."
As mentioned, Gafni has recently been seen on several occasions as someone whose relations with members of the bloc who oppose Netanyahu are escalating.
The chairman of Torah Judaism called to congratulate Yair Lapid last week after he took over as prime minister of the transition. Lapid, for his part, called Gafni to congratulate him on the occasion of his granddaughter's wedding.

Gafni has also spoken in the recent past about things that have been interpreted as revealing his intention to go into government without Benjamin Netanyahu.
Last April, immediately after the retirement of MK Idit Silman from the coalition leadership, Gafni said: "We must take stock of who can form a government, without elections."
MK Gafni later objected to his remarks, saying: "What was published in my name that we supposedly do not support Netanyahu for prime minister is not true."
