The hearings in the Netanyahu trial will resume today (Monday) after the three-month testimony of state witness Shlomo Pilber ended last week.
Today, one of Netanyahu's spokesmen, Shai Haik, is expected to testify, thus closing the first group of witnesses in the 4,000 case.
His testimony is related to the fan coverage that Netanyahu allegedly received from the Walla website in exchange for regulatory benefits that benefited Bezeq and the group's owners, Shaul Alovich, as described in the indictment.
Haik was supposed to testify earlier, but due to his illness in Corona he is now testifying and is supposed to close the evidence stage in case 4,000.
The testimony of Hadas Klein, Arnon Milchen's assistant, who according to the indictment in the 1,000 case, handed Sarah and Benjamin Netanyahu various gifts in the form of champagne, cigars and valuable jewelry, is expected to begin tomorrow.
She is the first witness from the second group of witnesses associated with the 1,000 case.
This group consists of 15 witnesses and its purpose is to reveal the supply line of gifts transferred from Milchen to the demand of the Netanyahu couple, although Sarah Netanyahu is not charged in the case.
Klein is expected to lay the evidentiary infrastructure of the case to be completed with additional witnesses who will testify on the subject of the gifts from different angles.
Last Sukkot, Klein approached the authorities on her own initiative, claiming that she had additional information about 3 other valuable jewelry she allegedly received from Sarah.
Because the trial had already begun the jewels in question were not added to the indictment but the court approved the addition of three more witnesses who were not written in the original indictment, one of which is Milchen's home.
They mean an evidential reinforcement of the story of the gifts that Kline will expand on and the method in which the gifts were distributed, the way they were distributed and who the initiator was.
The indictment alleges, among other things, that although Netanyahu and Milchen testified that their sons had a relatively friendly system, this did not prevent Netanyahu from being involved in Milchen's affairs and making governmental decisions about him, such as trying to help him obtain a visa to the United States.
