The Haifa District Attorney's Office filed an indictment today (Monday) against Maron Kalasni, 54, a resident of the city, for the murder of his wife, Samar Kalasni, 51. According to the indictment, the husband broke into the woman's apartment, sprayed her with tear gas and stabbed her 13 times. .

The indictment states that the background to the murder was Samar's request to separate from Klasani.
The couple, who have three children in common, lived together until March this year.

The prosecutor's office stated that in the background of the meeting, the defendant realized that his wife did not intend to return to live with him and decided to kill her.

According to the indictment, on June 12, Marun equipped himself with a tear gas canister and a kitchen knife and took a taxi to his wife's apartment building on Almotenby Street in Haifa.
Defendant jumped from the neighbors' porch to the porch of his wife's apartment and broke into her apartment.
At that time his daughter was sitting in the living room.
Maron sprayed his daughter with tear gas, pushed her out of the apartment and locked her outside.
So, according to the indictment, he spray-painted his wife's face.
Samar in response tried to escape to the porch, however her husband pulled her back inside while hitting her many times.
According to the prosecution, Maron stabbed his wife 13 times in the abdomen and back with two knives.
At the time, the woman's daughter and grandmother, who were outside the apartment, shouted and begged Maroon not to hurt his wife.
At the shouts, many neighbors gathered outside the apartment, and one even entered the apartment from the balcony.
When Marun saw the neighbor enter the apartment, he stabbed himself in the abdomen until one of the neighbors took over and took the knife from his hand.
The MDA team that arrived at the scene evacuated the woman to the hospital while performing resuscitation operations, but her death was determined shortly after she arrived at the hospital. The defendant was also taken to Rambam Hospital, where he was hospitalized and treated.
This morning, Judge Nitzan Silman ordered an extension of Maron Kalasni's detention.
