The army will no longer participate in the
national dialogue" conducted in Sudan under the aegis of the UN and the African Union (AU), putschist General Abdel Fattah al-Burhane announced on Monday July 4, to leave the forces civilians to form a "
government of competent personalities
".
This announcement made during a speech on state television comes as hundreds of Sudanese are organizing sit-ins for the fifth consecutive day in Khartoum and its suburbs to demand the departure of military power and denounce the repression that has already caused more than 110 deaths.
