Holidays in Germany are popular with many.
Dog owners in particular like to go on holiday in this country.
But where is the best place to go with a dog and what needs to be considered?
Around 35 million dogs, cats, small mammals and ornamental birds lived in German households in 2020.
During the corona pandemic, the number of pets in Germany increased by around 1 million compared to the previous year, as reported by the Central Association of Zoological Specialists in Germany (ZZF).

For this purpose, it was analyzed what percentage of the offers on

(including 304,809 holiday apartments and 68,913 holiday homes) have the filter option “pet-friendly”.
At the top of the
most pet-friendly federal states
is Schleswig-Holstein (28% of the offers are marked as pet-friendly), followed by Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (27%) and Saxony-Anhalt (25%).
