The Grafinger Jugendorchester provided enthusiasm and great concerts at the weekend: the ensemble played three times - not in Ebersberg, but at home in Grafing.
Grafing – Grafing's mayor, Christian Bauer, is said to have been annoyed that the Grafinger Jugendorchester has so far performed in Ebersberg's old warehouse.
That's why he has now made the new storage building of the municipal building yard on the western outskirts available to the orchestra for rehearsals and concerts.
At the weekend the ensemble played no fewer than three concerts there – all under the baton of its conductor Hedwig Gruber.
"Film music and other specialties" were on the program.

Before the concert began, the "Hotstix", the orchestra's percussionists, drummed in front of the hall before the youth orchestra intoned the legendary "20th Century Fox Fanfare" and offered a program with film music from "Mission Impossible" to "James Bond".
Two classical pieces had also been rehearsed – the Freischütz Overture by Carl Maria von Weber and “The Great Gate of Kyiv” from “Pictures at an Exhibition” by Modest Mussorgsky.

The musical performances were supplemented by lots of shows and light effects.
For example, a dinosaur hopped through the enthusiastic audience to the music to "Jurassic Park" or a soldier in guard uniform conducted the legendary film music of "The Bridge on the River Kwai".
The acoustically amplified orchestra and its soloists (Lena Brenninger, Sebastian Gassmann, Matthias Reinelt and Sarah Ringer) and moderator Philipp Gassert impressed the audience.
The hall hummed.
