At least three people were killed and several others injured in a shooting targeting a crowd during Independence Day celebrations in Highland Park, Illinois, USA today.
And the American newspaper (Chicago Sun-Times) reported that the shooting took place ten minutes after the start of the celebration, confirming that three bodies were covered with traces of blood and an unknown number were injured so far.
In turn, Miles Zaremsky, a resident of Highland Park, said that he heard between 20 and 25 shots, and it was likely that it could not have come from just a pistol or rifle.
The police cordoned off the scene of the accident and called on those present to leave because of the lack of security, while the search operations are continuing and investigations are still underway to find out the circumstances of the accident.
