A southwest monsoon with strong winds is bringing showers to southern China.
At 5:00 a.m., Tropical Storm Avery concentrated about 590 kilometers west-southwest of Osaka and is expected to move east-northeast at a speed of about 25 kilometers per hour, crossing Kyushu and Honshu, Japan.

According to the Transport Department, in order to tie in with the slope enhancement works at Pak Tam Road in Sai Kung, the section of Pak Tam Road near Pak Tam Au is still running on one-lane two-way traffic.
