The Neustift citizens' initiative has renewed its demands for the development plans for the Neustift field.

She appeals to the Freising city council to reconsider the plans.

Freising

– At its next meeting on July 28, the planning committee is to adopt the decision to draw up the “Neustifter Feld” development plan.

After the Neustifter had repeatedly commented on the plans in several letters and called for reduced development, the representatives of the BI renewed their demands again in the run-up to the meeting.

"Consider minimum requirements"

They call on the city councillors: "Reject the submissions from the administration for the interpretation of the development plan and demand their revision, unless at least the minimum requirements of the Neustift citizenship are taken into account!".

"In the last letter we had pleaded for a compromise on clear cornerstones," the activists look back in their latest letter.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

The big but from the point of view of the people of Neustift: “In the well-attended information event of the city of Freising, it became clear that the planning that has now been presented is still being rejected by the Neustift population and residents in key points.

Compared to the resolution on the preparation of the development plan, the cornerstones of the intended framework plan were only slightly and insufficiently reduced by the city;

on the contrary, the current planning even includes a higher number of floor areas for the area.” And it is therefore clear: “To date, no concrete solutions have been presented for many of the problems and demands raised by the citizens of Neustift.” And further: “We therefore find that that the demands of the citizens of Neustift have so far only been inadequately implemented.

Appeal to City Council

The letter made general demands such as a maximum floor area of 0.65 or a large-scale traffic concept, but also specific changes to the planning, especially with regard to the number of storeys in the individual buildings.

At the end of the appeal to the city council: "We ask you in detail to support the citizens of Neustift in achieving a structurally sustainable urban development that is compatible with the townscape.

With your forthcoming decision in the Committee for Building, Planning and Environment, you will soon irrevocably set the course for the permanent design of this unique, irretrievable area in the heart of Neustift, which has grown over many centuries.

It is not to be expected that once the draft development plan has been published, it will be changed significantly after the interpretation process by the city administration.”
