Summary.
Pierre Damonneville is 43 years old, he lives in Mayenne and he breeds dairy cows.
Son and grandson of farmers, he knows the rural world well, even if he has not always succeeded in finding his place there.
When he is 21 years old, Pierre realizes that he is homosexual.
And very quickly, he says to himself that his sexuality is not compatible with the agricultural world.
As part of his job, he often hears homophobic jokes or comments.
So he doesn't say anything.
It was only 10 years later that he decided to come to terms with his homosexuality.
From then on, he committed himself against the clichés and taboos linked to homosexuality in rural areas.
He created a Facebook page in 2017: “Farmer and gay, so what?
".
And on July 16, he will take part in the first rural pride march.
For Source Code, Pierre agreed to tell his story at the microphone of Sarah Hamny.
