Camille Vever still remembers it.
It was in 1995, she was 16 years old and received a jewel signed Vever as a gift.
"Seeing this name, mine, engraved on this piece, made a small voice resonate: what if, one day, I relaunched the family business?"
The high jewelry house had already disappeared, but the name was not forgotten by amateurs and specialists.
Vever was born in Metz in 1821, more than 200 years ago, before moving to Paris and rue de la Paix in 1872, after the annexation of Alsace and Lorraine.
The jeweler espoused the Art Nouveau style (1890-1914) a little later, with several breathtaking creations: instead of very large stones, Henri Vever preferred more clever shapes, enhanced by noble materials such as horn, ivory or enamel.
