Prime Minister Yair Lapid and his wife Lehi sent a letter to the residents of the Ramat Aviv neighborhood in Tel Aviv apologizing for the disruptions in their daily lives following his entry into office, which is accompanied by stricter security requirements around his home.

"We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and difficulty caused to you due to the security arrangements," the neighbors wrote.

"Many efforts are being made to coordinate the security need with the continuation of the routine of life in our neighborhood."

"We are holding a dialogue with the security forces in order to reduce and reduce the restrictions as much as possible," they added.

"We apologize and thank you for your understanding in light of the changes the neighborhood is going through. We wish us all good and quiet days."

"We hope that the inconvenience will continue and continue. Your success is the hopes of the state," one of them wrote after the letter was sent.

"Willing to continue to suffer," wrote another.

At the beginning of the week, the couple moved to the apartment of the GSS security staff near the official residence in Balfour. The residence itself is still undergoing renovations, and at the end they are expected to move to it. "The expenses of upgrading the security required by the GSS standard at Lapid's home in Tel Aviv will be necessary and minimal, with a minimum of interference and a minimum of disruption to the daily routine of the neighbors who live nearby," he said after a meeting between Lapid and Ronen Bar.

The couple's letter comes after his predecessor, Naftali Bennett, decided to stay at his home in Raanana and not move to Balfour.

The choice drew complaints from neighbors, who claimed that security arrangements were disrupting their lives.

Last week, at the end of his term, the checkpoint at the entrance to the street where Bennett lives was removed.
