Accident near Oberfischbach: cyclist collides with the car without braking

A cyclist was seriously injured in an accident on district road 7. The driver involved had no chance of preventing the collision.
Oberfischbach – A serious bicycle accident occurred on Kreisstraße 7. According to the officials, the 33-year-old man from Munich drove his bike on Sunday around 5 p.m. on the street from Fischbach, coming unbraked, into Töl 7, which had the right of way.
He crashed into the right side of a VW Tiguan driving in the direction of Tölz.
Witnesses confirm that motorists could not prevent the accident
Several witnesses to the accident confirmed that the 39-year-old Wackersberger at the wheel of the VW had no chance to see the cyclist in time and brake.
The man from Munich was seriously injured and taken to the Murnau accident hospital by rescue helicopter.
Passenger and child in the car slightly injured
The passenger and a child in the car were slightly injured by glass splinters from the broken side windows.
The county road was temporarily closed for the accident investigation.
The property damage amounts to around 2500 euros.
