Due to a lack of personnel, air traffic is in a state of emergency in many places.
At Mallorca Airport, even a visually impaired woman was forgotten.
In the summer of 2022, the desire to vacation will be greater than it has been for two years - however, the travel fever will hit an airline industry that has lost a lot of staff during the corona pandemic.
There have been numerous flight delays and cancellations in recent weeks.
For this reason, Lufthansa, for example, has canceled 900 flights within Germany and Europe for the travel month of July as a precaution.
However, the chaos has not yet been banned in many places: things have also recently gone haywire at Mallorca Airport, as can be seen.
The low-cost airline Ryanair is said to have recently forgotten an 86-year-old visually impaired woman in the waiting room.

Delays, flight cancellations, strikes: Chaos at Mallorca Airport
"We actually wanted my mother to visit us alone more often, so that we don't always have to fly to Germany," reported the daughter, who lives in Mallorca, to the
Mallorca Zeitung
.
In addition, she had booked an escort service for the visually impaired for the return flight from the Balearic Island to Cologne, which was supposed to take her mother from the waiting room to her seat on the plane.
Everything went well at check-in: "We found this service to be exemplary and drove home with peace of mind," said the Mallorca-German.
But the odyssey soon began: on that day
of all days Ryanair's cabin crew went on strike
.
Only home at midnight: 86-year-old visually impaired forgotten in the waiting room
"At 11 o'clock mum reported for the first time - she was still sitting around and didn't get any information," reported the daughter of the
Mallorca Zeitung
.
In the hours that followed, her mother called several times to report delays.
With every delay there was also a gate change
.
"At one point, the escort service parked my mom in a separate room."

And so fate took its course: the plane took off without the 86-year-old, who had apparently been forgotten in the waiting room.
According
to the
Mallorca Zeitung ,
not only the escort service but also Ryanair should have become aware of the missing passenger
.
The boarding pass stated that the woman was visually impaired and that she was being shown to her seat.
"When I asked Ryanair's service desk, they were not aware of any fault," said the daughter.
She has already filed a complaint with the low-cost airline.
Ultimately, the 86-year-old was rebooked on a flight at 6 p.m. – which then started two hours late.
"We got up at 6 a.m. and my mother was in Germany at midnight," said the German.
"What hardships for an 86-year-old woman!"
