After the market council had approved the draft plan for the extension of the fire station at the end of 2021, a modified concept has now been presented.

The fire brigade speaks of a “future-proof solution”.

However, the building committee criticized the delay.

Peißenberg – And another change of plan: For regular visitors to market council meetings, it came as a bit of a surprise that the item “Conversion and renovation of the fire station;

Submission of a modified draft plan” was listed.

After all, the market council had actually already approved the draft planning last December.

Everything was now waiting for approval planning.

But on the part of the fire brigade, there was apparently a need for more talk or planning.

In cooperation with the commissioned architect Peter Haberecht ("B3 Architekten"; Penzberg), the concept was fine-tuned again despite the council decision - and a solution was worked out which, according to the head of the building authority, Bernhard Schregle, "has no major financial impact,

but brings significant improvements for the neighbors".

This means the BRK rescue station and the St. Johann kindergarten.

What specifically changes?

The outbuilding planned in the northern part of the fire brigade area on Ebertstraße was cancelled.

This means that there will no longer be any border development with the neighboring kindergarten.

As a replacement, not only two garage parking spaces for emergency vehicles are being built on the east facade of the southern wing of the building, but three.

Schregle put the additional costs for the alternative planning at 8,000 euros in the committee: "That's a manageable sum." Changes were also made to the access road to the parking lot planned north of the BRK rescue site.

The BRK can thus stick to the straight entrance and exit to its garages.

Schregle summed up his remarks with the words "That must have been it".

According to reports, the loop in the planning process did not trigger any storms of jubilation from the top of the town hall.

This is said to have been communicated internally to the fire department.

The bottom line is that the result is appreciated: Mayor Frank Zellner (CSU) commented on the construction of a third garage as a "good solution" in the committee.

Bernd Schewe was also able to come to terms with the change of plan.

The SPD municipal council spoke of a "tedious process", however: "I still prefer the construction of a third garage to a basement." Anton Höck (Peißenberger Liste) described the change of plan as "understandable": even better fire station.” You can be happy to have “good people” in the fire department,

Jürgen Forstner came to a different conclusion.

The parliamentary group spokesman for the Free Voters didn't mince his words: "The point has been reached where I feel like a shitty councilor." Seven months have passed - "and then the plans will be looked at again?" Forstner referred to his ironically formulated question to the currently massively increasing construction costs: "I represent the taxpayer here.

With all due respect to the interests of the fire brigade.

But the trifles upset me.” Too many people would “tinker around” with the plans: “I can no longer go along with it.

I want what we decided in December to be implemented, otherwise it will cost another million euros more."

A little more than 5.5 million euros have been budgeted for the renovation and expansion of the fire station.

At the beginning of the planning it was still 3.6 million euros.

Forstner made it clear: "I want the fire brigade to get an improvement." The delays, however, run the risk of not being able to achieve anything at the end due to the exploding construction costs.

Forstner spoke of a "creepy system" and referred to the construction yard as a negative example, for which a renovation or a new building has been targeted for many years - so far without success.

The pre-advisory committee did not pass a resolution proposal for the market council on the changed draft planning.

The matter was referred to the political groups for debate.
