Wolfgang Kubicki is rarely at a loss for pithy words

The deputy FDP chairman Wolfgang Kubicki reacted with sharp polemics to a recommendation from SPD Secretary General Kevin Kühnert to Justice Minister Marco Buschmann.
"It would be good if comrade Kühnert didn't show off his newly acquired knowledge from the secretary-general training at the Andi Scheuer adult education center right away," Kubicki told the German Press Agency in Berlin.
Scheuer had also been General Secretary – at the CSU.
The dispute is about rent policy.
Kühnert had asked Buschmann to get the relief for tenants agreed in the coalition agreement up and running quickly.
There is no reason to delay the reforms any further.
Finance Minister Christian Lindner said that everyone had to work overtime to combat the crisis.
"Maybe Mr. Buschmann will just start working overtime and make sure that the legislation works smoothly after the summer break," said Kühnert.
Bundestag Vice President Kubicki referred to Buschmann's high workload and said to Kühnert's address that such insubordination should be at least partially covered by reality.
"I can only advise the young colleague for his political future: If you don't really know certain things yet, the only thing that helps is: practice, practice, practice."
Djir-Sarai accuses Kühnert of populism
FDP General Secretary Bijan Djir-Sarai recently accused Kühnert of financial populism.
In the debate about tax increases and additional levies, Kühnert had said that one was in the "unfair situation that we are burdening perfectly normal earned income with additional contributions to health insurance, because the FDP absolutely does not want to impose any excess profit tax on those who profit from the crisis".
He wondered if that could really be the last word of the Liberals.
Djir-Sarai, on the other hand, described it as absurd to establish a connection between the introduction of an excess profit tax and the situation of statutory health insurance.
